The following maps show places recently affected by a disaster and in need of humanitarian aid. The first map shows Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince, which was devastated by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake on January 12, 2010. The second map shows the country of Chile which was devastated by a magnitude 8.8 earthquake on February 27, 2010. The third map shows Japan which suffered a magnitude 9.0 earthquake on March 11, 2011. This earthquake triggered a deadly tsunami shortly thereafter. The extent of damage is still unknown.
